Nothing screams "Everybody! Look at me!" more than a blog post commenting on people that use social networks to say, "Everybody! Look at me!" Except of course, a comment on said blog pointing out the irony to the blogger who first made the observation.

But really, the whole attention desperation thing is really just survival adjusted for 2010 and beyond. You need to be noticed, whether it's to get a job, get a guy or girl, or get friends. People are doing away with the old rules.

Hmm,

On a very simple level I think people just like to be liked. Social Networks help them fill that void especially if they didn't feel that way before them. =\

How would our essence precede our existence? That makes no logical sense. Kaufmann shows us not a theistic view of the universe but a humanist view. In Kaufman's universe our memories are what gives us our essence and that is earned through our existence as human beings. Joel wasn't Joel until he existed or the essence of Joel didn't exist until he existed.

Money, money, money, money MONEY!

"Can we create moments of beauty, truth and splendor that cause us to pause" - Craig D

We sure can and we are going to sell the shit out of it. Art with a little sprinkle of Christianity equals dollars. Im all for this. In fact we are going to team up with this guy and sell all the stuff these christian artist are going to create. Painting that looks like a Picasso with a little Christianity sprinkled on it $500, "The Son of Man" with a cross over his face instead of an apple $1100. Fairey look alike poster but instead of Obama it will be Jesus (actually this one already exists). Im excited how bout you? Seriously though I see dollar signs. The best part is the "church" is going to subsides this venture. Holy crap!!! Tithes will be going to make us rich.

www.tcas.com (That's going to be the website "The Christian Art Society".com) Sounds almost intellectual. And the "t" in www.tcas.com almost looks like a cross.

If we don't do it, then someone else will.

Seriously though. This will never work. Churches do not condone descent. Can you imagine a painting hanging inside a church of a man walking on water and the title below says, "Mithra 400 years before Christ."? Art is free expression.
